This page lists and explains the properties defining the manual and automatic Key Results throughout their lifecycle in the OKR module.

KR creation

The following attributes are defined during the creation of a Key Result. Each of those characteristics can be edited on the OKR details page.

Name

A descriptive name of the Key Result contributing toward achieving the Objective.

Link issues

Jira issue(s) associated with the Key Result. Linked issues are necessary for auto-KRs.

Sets the KR’s progress mode to manual KR.

Measure as

A unit that is required for manual KR progress tracking.

Current (Start)

An initial progress value.

Target

A value that represents the goal of the KR.

Period

Defines the timeframe for completing KR.

Expected start

Expected start date of the KR.

Expected end

Expected end date of the KR.

Type

Marks the OKR type (for example, company, team, personal). OKR types can be customized.

Owner

The assignee who is responsible for delivering the KR.

By default, it is the person who created the KR, but it can be edited.

Collaborators

Team members/ other stakeholders responsible for the KR.

Teams

Teams involved in delivering the KR.

Labels

A descriptive tag that is used for categorizing and organizing KRs.

Contribution (Weight)

It reflects how much a KR contributes to its parent Objective's progress upon full completion.

By default, all OKRs under the same Objective share the contribution equally, but you can edit contribution values for individual Key Results (and sub-objectives).

KR update

You can also come across specific KR attributes when updating its status and progress.

(Progress) Status

KR’s status that reflects its standing in relation to progress: Not started; On track; At risk; Off track.

Statuses cannot be customized.

Current value

The value that indicates the KR progress. This field must be manually updated for KRs in the manual mode. Auto-KRs have this field grayed out.

Comment

Comments provide more information about the update.

KR closure

There is a set of specific attributes related to KR closure.

(Closure) Status

KR’s status that indicates the reason for closing the KR: Success; Incomplete; Failed; Rescheduled; Cancelled.

Statuses cannot be customized.

Description

Gives more insight into why the KR was closed.

Final grade

An arbitrary grade on a scale of 0 to 1 reflecting KR achievement level.
