Overview

BigPicture’s modules are a set of versatile tools designed to support various aspects of project management and management approaches. These modules work together to provide a comprehensive, flexible solution for teams to plan, track, and execute projects, programs, and portfolios effectively.

Each module is tailored to different project management needs, allowing teams to focus on everything from high-level portfolio management to detailed task tracking, resource allocation, and reporting.

With its modular approach, BigPicture enables teams to customize their workflow, adapt to specific project requirements, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Currently, there are fourteen modules to choose from, each offering a different area of focus:

Security and access (customize module availability)

Default module availability in individual boxes depends on their box type and module configuration:

Jira and App Admins can customize box type settings by enabling or disabling module availability in specific box types: App Settings (wrench icon) > Administration > Box types > select a box type from the list > General > Modules.

Box Admins can change the box type settings in individual boxes to ensure their box has all the right tools to cater to their unique initiative: Module switcher > Manage modules.

Switch between the modules (module switcher)

To navigate between the modules, use the module switcher—a handy dropdown that lists all the modules enabled in the current box. Every user who has access to the box can use the module switcher to view or manage different aspects of the initiative (depending on their permissions).

You can also use the module switcher to go directly to the Modules settings page (Manage modules) or the entire box configuration page (Configuration).

Customize module name

Jira/App/Box Admins can change the default module names in every box type and in individual boxes to better reflect their unique business needs.
