Overview

In the OKR module, you can assign an OKR to a specific team and filter the main view by that team for a focused view. You can also display team stats on a Progress Dashboard, receive team-specific notifications, and access additional team features.

The teams in the OKR module are separate from those in the Teams module. You can't use OKR teams in other modules, nor can you use Teams module teams as OKR teams.

Permissions

Only permitted users can create, edit, and delete OKR teams:

Jira Admin
In-module Admin
Users in roles with granted Manage all teams permission (full team management) or Create teams (new teams creation only).

Create a new OKR team

On the Settings > Teams page, click +Add new team.

Create new team screen in the OKR module.

Name your new team and customize colors.
Add team members manually or by importing them from Jira groups.
Assign roles to team members:
- Admin - This role can manage OKR module settings, add/remove users, and assign roles. It is automatically assigned to the team creator.
- Manager - This role can add/remove users and assign roles.
- User - This role can view the team but cannot make changes.
Optional: Customize the team icon, which will be displayed on the OKRs associated with the team and on the OKR Overview. The letter in the circle is always the first letter of the team name.
Save to finish the process.

Edit OKR team

On the Settings > Teams page, click triple dots (…) next to the team you want to edit.
Select Edit team.
On the specific team’s page, you can:

change the team’s name,
change the team’s icon colors,
Switch to Jira groups-based team members (only if you are a team owner (creator)).

As a team owner, you can switch between Jira group-based and individual member types. The app will remember your choice, but you cannot use both at the same time. When using the Jira group-based option, you assign a role to the whole group, and you can add multiple groups to a team.

Members are synced with Jira, so any additions or removals from the group will automatically update the team members section.

Switch to individual members if you want to add other, non-Jira group-based members.

Delete OKR team

On the Settings > Teams page, click triple dots (…) next to the team you want to edit.
Select Delete team.

Delete option on the team settings page.

Alternatively:

On the specific team’s page, click triple dots (…) in the upper right corner.
Select Delete.
