Navigation panel

Navigation panel

Overview

The workflow builder navigation panel displays a visual flow diagram for the workflow. It is also used to save component changes made in the editors to the workflow, toggle between the visual editor and markup editor, open the workflow translator, and, when finished editing, to exit the workflow builder

  • The visual flow diagram is updated when states are added or state transitions are changed.

  • Clicking a state name lozenge opens the state editor in the workflow panel for the selected state.

  • Option buttons also let you open the component editors in the workflow panel or add new components

The option buttons change based on the current workflow component or editor displayed in the workflow panel. For example, when a state is displayed in the workflow panel, you can open the state editor or open one of the approval editor, transition editor, or task editor to add another one of these state components.

You can also use the Save menu options to save the workflow template to a different Confluence scope, for example, saving a copy of the space workflow as a global scope workflow.

The available Save menu options are based on your Confluence administrator permissions, and the current scope of the workflow (page, space or global).
