Apply a workflow to a single page
Page workflow
Page editors can apply a workflow to a page or a blog post. page workflow. The added workflow is unique to the page.
This option is only available if there is no active space workflow. If a space workflow is active, it is applied in preference to any active page workflow.

When no workflow is applied to all the pages in the space, the page tools Add Workflow option is available to add a workflow.
Open the page tools menu
Choose Add Workflow …
For a user who only has Confluence view and edit permission for the page, Add Workflow opens the Workflow picker
In the dialog box
Select a workflow
Apply the workflow to the page, or
Apply & Customize to edit the workflow in the workflow builder
For a user who has Confluence view and edit permission for the page and space administrator permission, the Add workflow dialog box displays the options to apply the workflow to the current page workflow or apply to all the pages in the current space.
You must choose how the workflow is to be applied.
Apply to all pages in the space <spacename> opens the space tools document management dashboard. You can then choose the workflow and configure it to be applied as a space workflow
Applying to all pages in the space (space mode) gives you central management of your documents in the space. It is the recommended way to add and apply a Comala Document Management workflow for use in a production environment.
Apply workflow to page <pagename> is used to add a copy of a workflow to the individual page. It opens the Workflow picker

Use the page tools menu to access the workflow picker and select a workflow to add to the individual page.

By default, the workflows included with the app and enabled by the global administrator are displayed in the Add workflow dialog box. It also displays any custom workflows added to the space page workflows dashboard.
Choose a workflow and select either
Apply to add the workflow to the current page
Apply & Customize to edit the workflow in the workflow builder before applying the edited workflow to the current page
The Workflow custom states option is only available if applying a page workflow. This option lets you add the states before opening the workflow builder to create a new workflow.
On choosing Apply (or Save and then Exit in workflow builder if you customized the workflow), the workflow is applied, and the following is displayed on the page:

a workflow state status byline for the initial state in the workflow
You can use the workflow app icon to open a Workflow box displaying the name of the applied workflow, the current workflow state, and the workflow visual flow diagram.
The workflow state status byline opens the workflow state dialog box. This dialog box lets page editors interact with the workflow documentation process.
Different workflows can be added and applied to separate individual pages in a space only if there is no active space mode workflow in the space.
