Prerequisites
This area is accessible only to Jira Administrators and Project Administrators.
DATA CENTER The options described below are available starting from Agile Cards v4.5.0.
Configuration
Here’s a quick rundown of the configurable options:
Template name
Every template must have a name. While the name can be anything you like, it cannot be left blank. This is the only required field when creating a new template.
Assigned projects
Assigning projects to a template makes them easier to locate and use when printing or exporting to PDF, which is especially helpful in large Jira instances.
Templates assigned to a project will automatically appear under the Project Templates submenu when printing issues from that project.
To assign projects, use the Assigned projects field within the template settings.
Edit permission
As of version 4.5.0, project administrators can be granted permission to edit specific templates. These permissions apply only to editing. All templates remain visible and printable to authenticated Jira users.
Available permission levels:
All project admins: Any project admin can edit this template.
Only admins of the assigned projects: Only project admins and Jira admins of the selected projects can edit.
Only user: Only the template creator and Jira admins can edit.
Project administrators that have no access to edit a template can still clone it and create their own version of it.
Card designer
Choose the card layout that best suits your needs:
Flexible card layout: Quick to set up, with a clean and minimal design.
Simple card layout: Gives you full control over the size, position, and arrangement of issue fields.
You can switch between layouts based on your template goals.
Print cutting markers
Enable cutting markers to simplify trimming printed cards. These are small, light gray lines printed at the intersections between cards.
Card outline
Adding a border around your cards can enhance their appearance. The outline is printed in black with a user-defined line width.
Set to 0 if you prefer no border.
Card color
Color bars are slim lines that can visually represent various issue attributes without taking up much space. Color bars can be positioned in three possible ways:
Vertical: On the left side of the card.
Horizontal: Across the top of the card.
Field-based: As a custom field, in which case you control the shape and size of the color bar in the Card Layout screen.
Card reference
You can configure color bars to reflect:
Issue types: Assign a unique color to each issue type.
Projects: Distinguish cards from different projects.
Priorities: Quickly identify card importance.
Each color bar can have its own scheme, which is customizable per template.
