Permissions

App-level security roles

Access to the financial information is restricted. Only people assigned a financial role can interact with the information.

The following permissions are required for the Financial module:

• App Financial Viewer - can open the Financials module and view the information but can’t make any changes.

• App Financial Admin - can set up the Financials module and configure the rates.

  • Access the Financial module.

  • Edit hourly rates in App Administration.

  • Edit data in the Financial panel, including budget and cost calculations.

Role in box configuration

A user has to have access to a specific box (for which calculations are made) or to the Home box (which gives access to all the boxes).

Tasks

Both basic and Jira tasks are taken into consideration when making financial calculations.

For a task to be taken under consideration, it has to:

• Have a start or end date within the chosen financial period.

• Have effort estimated.

• Workload contouring mode affects cost calculations - it is important when it comes to task cost distribution between days.

Teams

To use Team hourly rates in the calculation, you must have teams configured. Refer to the Teams module page to learn more.
