Space and page workflow modes
Overview
In each space, a Comala Document Control workflow can be applied in one of two modes:
Page workflows are added and applied by a page editor to individual pages or blog posts
Space workflows are applied by the space administrator to all documents in a space
Page workflows mode
In page mode, workflows are applied on a page-by-page basis, so each page has its own unique workflow:

In page mode, users are able to choose any one of the three workflows supplied with Comala Document Control.
How do I enable page mode?
On installation, any space in your instance can use page workflows.
The global administrator can restrict the spaces in which page workflows can be applied in the app global configuration. Spaces can be selected using the selection of spaces by space key.
Within a space, applied page workflows are overridden when the space administrator makes a workflow active in the space document control dashboard. This space workflow is applied to all the pages and documents in the space.
Space workflows mode
In space mode, workflows are applied to all documents in a space using the space document control dashboard (which can optionally be filtered by a content label):
The active space workflow is automatically applied:
To all existing pages and blog posts in the space
To new pages and blog posts
The space administrator chooses which of the three included workflows to is active and applied in the space
The space administrator can customize some aspects of the current space workflow, such as state names and the label content filter. These simple customizations only affect the space workflow in the current space
Using a space workflow lets you centrally manage the documents in the space.
How do I enable space workflows mode?

Within a space, making a space workflow active in the space document control dashboard applies it to all the pages and documents in the space. It overrides any existing page workflows applied in the space.
If the space workflow is made inactive, the workflow is removed from all the documents, and any document with a prior page workflow becomes active again.
