Migration to Confluence Cloud updates

A migration to Confluence Cloud now includes

• space workflows

• metadata using the new Attach Metadata utility

Space workflows migration

A migration to Confluence Cloud now includes space workflows. The cloud-compatible workflow includes label conditions and space workflow parameters.

Global workflows active in a space are migrated as a space workflow and automatically enabled in the app space settings in Confluence Cloud.

The CCMA pre-migration checks include a new space workflow cloud compatibility assessment.

The pre-migration assessment checks

• Cloud-compatibility of the space workflows

• If there are page workflows active on pages

This new pre-migration check lets you review any cloud-compatibility issues in your workflow and consolidate page workflows as a space workflow before migration.

Document metadata migration

You can now include page and blog post metadata in a migration by running the new Attach Metadata utility in a space before migration.

The utility exports and stores metadata from the following

• Comala set-metadata macro

• Page-level defined workflow parameters

• Comala Metadata app metadata macro

The stored metadata can be retrieved using the cloud app get-metadata macro.

The CCMA pre-migration checks include a new verification to check if the Attach Metadata utility has been run in each space.

Workflow Translator for Cloud improvements

The Workflow Translator for Cloud now supports translation to cloud-compatible code for the following:

• Workflow label conditions (including support for Invert labels)

• Restrictions-related workflow trigger actions. These are now translated to the related cloud trigger actions, such as

  • Add Restrictions

  • Set Restrictions

Bug fixes

The following issues are fixed in this release:

• Fixed an issue introduced in v7.7.0 where the workflow preview, accessed using the workflow toolbar icon on a page, did not display anything

• Read confirmation due dates were not displayed correctly in some reports

• Fixed the document management report “refresh data” action not being enabled

Migration to Confluence Cloud bug fixes

• Fixed a migration bug that could cause the migration to fail if a space in the migration had not been accessed after upgrading to v7.0.0+

• Removed an unnecessary error log entry from the migration log

• Fixed the following issues in the Workflow Translator for Cloud

  • A set-message trigger action with an empty type was not being translated into the default info type

  • An empty workflow trigger caused the translator action to fail
