Symptoms

One or more SQL Macro returns the following error:

org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException:
Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Network error IOException: Connection refused)

Cause

The Data Source configuration is unable to attach to the specified database because the port is invalid.

Resolution

Check to ensure that the database is listening on the requested port - verify port configuration in server.xml and database.
