Symptoms

One or more SQL Macro returns the following error:

org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException:
Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory

Cause

The application server is unable to attach to the Host IP (or) resolve the IP via DNS.

Resolution

Check your application server (server.xml) configuration and ensure the DNS host name is valid on the server running Confluence.
