Overview

Custom workflows allow you to tailor document review, approval, and publishing processes to fit specific business needs.

You can create a custom workflow in your Confluence space by editing an existing workflow or creating a new workflow.

Edit an existing workflow

You can create a custom workflow by duplicating and editing any bundled workflow in the app.

To edit an existing workflow

  1. Log in to your Confluence space and go to Space settings.

  2. Choose Comala document management under App links.

  3. A list of existing workflows is displayed. Click the Duplicate icon next to the required workflow to copy and edit it.

  1. Enter a unique workflow name in the Copy workflow dialog. Click Submit.

  1. The custom workflow will be created. Click the Edit icon to edit this workflow using the visual or JSON code editor.

Create a new workflow

To create a new custom workflow

  1. Log in to your Confluence space and go to Space settings.

  2. Choose Comala document management under App links.

  3. Click Create new workflow.

  4. This opens the visual builder. Enter the details for the new workflow and click Apply.

    You can continue using the visual builder to add workflow elements or edit the JSON code using the Code editor.
