How to resolve an Invalid syntax server.xml error

Symptoms

One or more SQL Macro returns the following error:

org.apache.tomcat.dbcp.dbcp.SQLNestedException: 
Cannot create JDBC driver of class

Cause

The resource configuration is outside of the Confluence context.

Resolution

Change your application server configuration (server.xml) to ensure the resource is within the Confluence context.
