Overview

Octo serves as a place where you can create components for any project in your Jira instance.

1. Click Create Component.

2. Complete the required fields:

   • Component Name and Project (or multiple projects) where you want to use the component.

3. Complete the remaining fields:

   • Description, Component Lead, and Default Assignee (all issues linked to this component will be assigned automatically according to this setting).

4. Once you’ve added the details, click Save.

The component is created in all selected Jira projects and is accessible in Octo.
