Live Fields for Jira Cloud v. 6

This release of Live Fields for Jira Cloud includes several major updates! Most notable is the addition of several no-code actions and conditions! Additionally, two new API functions - fixTypo and translate have been added. Both of these API functions and the AI spell-check and AI translation no-code actions use Appfire AI to update text asynchronously, even at the time of entry! The fixTypo API will automatically scan and correct any errors in grammar or spelling, and the translate API will translate a field value into nearly any language!

No-code actions are now available!

No-code actions

Several no-code actions have been introduced; these actions cover the most common use cases for Live Fields and can be created without the need for scripting. These actions include:

• AI spell-check

• AI translation

• Change custom field name or description

• Disable fields

• Hide fields

• Hide options in a select list

• Make fields required

AI-powered field updates!

The Live Fields API has been updated to include two new functions - fixTypo and translate! Both of these functions use Appfire AI to process text input and update it accordingly. The fixTypo API will correct grammar and spelling. The translate API will translate text into a selected language. See this use case for an example of using translate!

No-code conditions also available!

With the introduction of no-code actions, the Live Fields configuration editor now includes a new section - IF - for setting conditional execution of your action. Using this section, you can limit execution to specific Users, Groups, Project Roles, or even to work items with specific field values! The full list of conditions is:

• User in group - Check if the user is in a specific group

• User in project role - Check if the user is in a specific project role

• User in users - Check if the user is in a selected list of users

• Field value - Compare the value of a selected field to a value
