    Set fields

You can set certain project roles, priority, fix versions, and so on, to specific values while cloning an issue.

    Prerequisite

Ensure your administrator has selected the required set fields while creating a clone operation. For example, consider Assignee and Priority set fields. For more details, refer to the Clone Plus for Jira configuration - Cloud page.

    Steps

    1. Select an issue you want to clone in your Jira instance. For example, consider an issue with the Assignee and Priority fields as shown in the following image.

    2. In the top-right corner, select Actions image.webp > Clone Plus option or the image (1).webpClone Plus quick-add button for any issue.

    3. On the Clone Plus for Jira page, select the clone operation and other values as required.

    4. Click Clone.

    5. On the Create issue page, select values for all the issue fields as required.

    6. Click Create.
A successful issue creation message is displayed and the parent issue is cloned as configured.
