Page status macro
Overview
The Page Status macro is used to display the current workflow state of a page.
Permissions
Only page editors can see the rendered macro value on a page. By default, only users with edit permissions for a page can see workflow activity and draft versions of pages, and the macro uses this setting.
If workflow visibility is configured for anybody to see draft content, the rendered macro is seen by users with view permission on the draft content.
Adding the macro
To add the report to a page:
In the draft page editor:
- Choose + > Other Macros > Select macro > Page Status
- Choose Insert
Here's how the macro looks on your page:
Customizing the macro
There are no customization options for this macro.
If you want all users to see the rendered page status on a page, irrespective of workflow visibility settings, you can add the get-metadata macro to the page to retrieve the metadata for the state name using the awpState value reference for the current state name. The macro retrieves and displays the state name, but not the state indicator circle.
You can add the get-metadata macro in a page properties report macro:
The workflow state name is rendered in a table on the page.
