Configuration guide for Advanced Database Row Field

Configuration guide for Advanced Database Row Field

Adding an Advanced Database Row Field follows the same process as any other Jira custom field. It involves two tasks:

  • Step 1: Create a new Advanced Row Field.

  • Step 2: Configure the field settings to connect to your database and define its behavior.

The Configuration Wizard process is the same for both Advanced Database Row Fields and Advanced Database Table Fields.

Step 1: Create a new Advanced Database Row Field

To add a new field, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to your Jira instance as an administrator.

  2. Click Administration, then navigate to Issues > Custom Fields.

  3. Click Add custom field.

  4. In the Select a field type wizard that opens, click Advanced.

  1. Select Advanced Database Row Field and click Next.

  2. Give your field a name and description, then click Next.

  3. Configure the issue type context for the new Power custom field.

  4. Click Create.

  5. Associate the field with the required screens, then click Update.

Until associated, the field is not visible on screens. Once associated, it appears at the bottom of the issue view.

The new Advanced Databas Row Field field has been created and appears on the Custom fields page.
