Key features

Page Approval for Confluence Cloud enables content creators and contributors to establish an approval process where designated reviewers can review, approve, or reject content. By setting an approval expiration on a specific date, you can keep content up-to-date.

Page Approvers: Choose one or more of your team to approve the page. Use the Standard approval so that all your named approvers need to approve the page.

Quorum Approval: Set the minimum number of your named approvers required for approval, ensuring a page is approved once it meets the specified threshold.

Chain Approval: set the order in which your named approvers need to approve the page. All approvers in the list need to approve the page, but the approval goes through an ordered chain, so if any of the approvers reject the page at any stage, the page is not submitted for subsequent approval.

Page Acknowledgement: allows users who are not approvers to acknowledge the page and be kept in the loop.

Set Due date and Priority: when you create a request, inform your approvers of the timeframe and urgency of an approval request

In-app notifications: Approvers, content creators, and contributors receive in-app notifications. Notifications are also automatically added as page comments to keep all the team informed on the page.

Challenges

As your organization grows, you will need to have more collaborative reviews and approvals of Confluence documents. For example, you might have a content creator workflow where the team leader or other departments must review and approve each new page.
