⚠️ Upcoming Atlassian Changes Affecting Edit Issue API

What is this?
Atlassian is making updates to the Jira Cloud platform REST API, specifically impacting the Edit Issue API when using the

overrideScreenSecurity=true

parameter. As part of this change, unused fields will be removed. If you attempt to edit a field that is no longer associated with the relevant project, Jira will return an error.
The Edit Issue API is utilized by JMWE post-functions—such as Set Issue Field, Copy Issue Fields, Create Issue, Transition Issue, and Clear Fields—to update field values.

Deadline:
These changes are expected to roll out between June 16, 2025, and June 30, 2025. After this period, you may experience more errors related to unsupported or unassociated fields.
