Our team is thrilled to announce the release of Forge Native version of HTML for Confluence Cloud.

✅ Pre-Upgrade Checklist

Before upgrading, verify that the app is functioning correctly by rendering HTML and XSLT macros.
Also, note down the current app configuration — this will help you validate the setup after the upgrade.


🚀 Forge Native Adoption

Our app has been fully migrated to Atlassian Forge, delivering improved security, scalability, and compliance. This update ensures smoother performance and seamless native integration within Atlassian’s cloud ecosystem.

Key benefits of running on Forge include:

  • Enhanced data privacy through Atlassian-hosted compute and storage.

  • Data residency aligned with the customer’s host product to maintain compliance.

  • Full control over data egress, enabling customers to monitor and restrict data flow.


⚡ Enhancements

UI & Performance Improvements:
We’ve refined the app’s interface and responsiveness to provide a faster, more consistent experience across Confluence pages.

Enhanced XSLT Macro Editor:
The XSLT macro editor has been upgraded from the native macro editor to a new custom editor, offering a user experience similar to the HTML macro editor. This enhancement makes it more intuitive and user-friendly.

Other Updates

The following minor updates have been made in this release:

  • The Output Format macro parameter now supports only HTML, starting from version 3.0.0.

  • The XSLT Version is now deafulted to 3.0 and has been removed from the macro editor.

  • HTML Configuration is now available under Apps in admin section


Verification After Upgrading to Version 3.0.0

If you are upgrading from any version prior to 3.0.0, please verify the app’s functionality after the upgrade by checking the rendered macros and app configuration.

To verify:

  1. Navigate to Apps > HTML Configuration in the admin section.

  2. Ensure that the Global Config, Allowlist, and Profiles tabs contain the same data as before the upgrade.
