Notes
About notes
You can create notes for Jira work items, BigPicture boxes, and basic tasks. Since basic tasks don’t have the Description field, notes can serve as their primary description. Notes are useful for documenting details, capturing decisions, and sharing updates. Because they are public, they also act as a communication channel, ensuring everyone is up-to-date.
Notes support plain text only and are limited to 1,000 characters.
Notes exist only within BigPicture and are not synchronized with Jira.
The video below provides an overview of the notes functionality on boxes, Jira work items, and basic tasks.
Availability in modules
Notes are public. Any user who can access the box can view, create, edit, and delete notes. Each note also displays the name of the last editor and the time of the most recent modification.
The table presents all places where you can view, create, edit, and delete notes.
